If you have a shift booked
You can't delete your account while you have an accepted shift that hasn't happened yet. Someone is counting on you to turn up. Either work the shift, or cancel it first and then delete your account.
If you can't get into the app
Email jackson@ondatechnologies.com from the email address on your account, or include the mobile number you signed up with. We'll confirm it's you and close the account within five working days.
What happens to your information
Deleted immediately and permanently:
- Your identity documents and verification photos.
- Your email address, mobile number, work preferences, availability and location.
- If you've never been paid through Onda: your name, date of birth, address and IRD number as well.
Kept for tax, if you've been paid through Onda:
- Your legal name, date of birth, address and IRD number, with your pay and fee records. Tax law requires us to keep these for seven years after the end of the calendar year you were last paid. They're kept separately, where no business can see them, and deleted when the seven years are up.
Kept, but no longer linked to you:
- Records of shifts you completed, and the ratings attached to them. Businesses and workers on the other side of those shifts keep an accurate history, but it no longer identifies you.
Onda doesn't hold your bank details — Stripe does. You can close your Stripe account with Stripe.
Deleting your account can't be undone. If you come back later you'll need to sign up again and be verified again from scratch, and you won't get your old work history back.
